According to the official synopsis of the fourth episode, “Agent Knight’s past resurfaces when her ex-boyfriend, a National Parks Service agent, joins forces to investigate a campsite murder.”
When a deceased Petty Officer is discovered in the woods, NCIS joins forces with the National Parks Investigative Service. Gage Winchester is Knight’s ex-boyfriend who wants to rekindle their relationship. However, this only draws Knight and Jimmy closer as she decides to spend a spa weekend with him, indicating a more solid definition of their relationship.
