NCIS LA fans were taken aback after it was revealed an old villain would return to wreak havoc in season 14.
CBS’ hit procedural series NCIS LA made its highly anticipated return earlier this month with season 14. However, it looks as though old faces could also make an appearance after it was confirmed an old villain will make a comeback, leaving the agents including Sam Hanna (played by LL Cool J) distraught.
In the upcoming episode, the NCIS team will be met with a blast from the past after a group of gruesome murderers return.
Known as “the body stitchers”, these murderers had previously evaded capture but could soon face arrest with a new lead in charge.

During the trailer, the recently hired Special Agent Alden Parker (Gary Cole) took on a new approach as he quizzed a distraught Sam about their previous encounter.

In a first-look clip, Sam, Parker and Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) were reviewing old tapes as they reflected on the group’s crimes.

In disbelief, Sam shared: “Four people Deeks, they lied right to my face.

“They killed these people, they dismembered their bodies and they sewed them together, and we had them.”

Deeks responded: “I know, I know, but sometimes bad guys get away.”

As Sam hit back: “But this is different,” Parker probed: “Tell me about it, Agent Hanna.

“You were with these suspects, you spoke with them, so instead of wallowing in the fact that you missed something, why don’t you tell us what you learned from them?”

Sam explained: “The way they were able to manipulate the investigation was extraordinary. They knew exactly how to work us.”

Deeks added: “The time that it took to do what they did to wear and the others, I mean the planning, the execution, the intelligence was off the charts.”

An angry Sam continued: “And the funny thing is, they didn’t present as smart.”

“Good to know,” Alden was quick to reply.
While Sam continues to press on at work, his personal life will also be explored through his father Raymond Hanna (Richard Gant).

The synopsis for the upcoming episode confirmed: “Sam’s dad makes a new friend in Arkady.”

Raymond was first introduced during the 300th episode of NCIS in season 13 as the former Colonel of the US Marine Corps
Throughout the series, Sam often referenced his father when discussing his upbringing and experience army.
Although Sam kept his personal life hidden, he shared Raymond was a strict father who was left heartbroken that Sam had chosen to join the Navy instead of the Marines.

During season 13, the NCIS agent was faced with a tough adjustment after Raymond moved in with him when it was revealed that he was living with early Alzheimers.

While Sam was caring for his father, he may find some relief when Raymond finds a friend in Arkady Kolcheck (Vyto Ruginis).

This confirmed Arkady’s return, this could lean into Anna Kolchek (Bar Paly) and Chris O’Donnell’s (G Callen) life as a newly engaged couple, as Arkady is Anna’s father.

NCIS Los Angeles season 14 continues every Sunday on CBS in the USA. A UK release date hasn’t been announced.
