Producer of ‘NCIS Los Angeles’ Confirms Hetty’s Return on Season 14
Fans of NCIS: Los Angeles can rejoice because Hetty is officially returning for Season 14!
Viewers of “NCIS: Los Angeles” were concerned this week when the CBS procedural’s Season 14 premiere omitted Linda Hunt’s Hetty, the character whose last known location was Syria. In the episode, the team learned that a body had been discovered in Syria. By the end, they realize it was a child’s body, but it had Hetty’s IDs attached to it, indicating that she wanted to stage her own d3ath.
Executive producer R. Scott Gemmill revealed the following about Hunt’s return to the CBS series:
“Hetty has been a vital force within the agency and a particularly significant part of Callen’s past.” When Callen starts planning his wedding to Anna, he wants Hetty to be there. The plan is to go rescue her and find out what she’s gotten herself into in Syria at some point, but we’re just waiting to see when we can pull it off. The goal is to accomplish it this season.”
Hetty was last seen in the Season 13 premiere, “Subject 17,” in October 2021. Because of C0v1d, her role was limited.
