Mark Harmon, the star of “NCIS,” was named the sexiest man alive in 1986. We learned a little bit more about the actor shortly after he was given that title during an interview with Joan Rivers.

He may have been named the sexiest man alive by “People” magazine in 1986, but Harmon told Joan Rivers that his sisters used to pick on him when he was a kid.

“You have two k1ller sisters,” Rivers exclaimed during the interview. “Beautiful, lovely sisters!”

“Not with me!” The actor from NCIS exclaimed. “When I was really little, they’d strip me down to my underwear, tie me up on the bed, put lipstick on me, and kiss me.”

The actor went on to say that as they grew older, neither sister would admit who did it.

“When I asked them about it, they said, ‘She did it!’” ‘She did it!’ says the other. “However, they both did it,” Harmon chuckled.

Harmon is a charmer, but he did not always charm his father.

Despite his older sister picking on their younger brother, the “NCIS” actor claims the Harmon family was always close.

When Joan Rivers asked if the family was close, Harmon said, “My father insisted on that.” However, as Harmon pointed out, he was held to a different standard than his sisters.

“I got more beatings than the majority of them,” he joked.

Harmon wasn’t a bad kid, he tells the television personality, he was just a lot of trouble.

Harmon told a story about knocking out a friend’s front tooth when he was six years old.

“I heard the phone ring and I heard my dad yell, ‘Mark!’” the actor explains, adding that when his father says his name, he knows he’s in trouble. “It’s usually hotdog, burrhead, or something along those lines.”

Mark Harmon, a young man, gave his father quite a chase!

The “NCIS” star tells Joan Rivers that staying away from his father when he was in trouble was the key.

Harmon recalls running from his father in a circle in the family home, avoiding his fate for as long as he could.

“So I ran,” Harmon said, laughing. “What I was doing was agitating my father, and I had no idea!”

The actor eventually explains that he chose to avoid his punishment by diving under the bed. Harmon recalls initially believing that it was the best strategy. Until his father lifted the bed to get him out.

“I got tired, so I dove under the bed,” explains the “NCIS” star. “My dad would go and reach, and I’d roll,” the actor explained. He went on to say that after a while, he realized his plan wasn’t so great.

Harmon suddenly saw light as his father simply lifted the bed to drag young Mark Harmon out from underneath. “I remember thinking to myself as he was dragging me out, ‘this is the dumbest idea!’”
